Tribute S-500 Tonewood
Everything I can find about the S-500 Tribute Series says it is made of "swamp ash or basswood". I've been looking at the tobacco burst finish with the rosewood fretboard, and wondering if anyone could provide an absolute answer over what wood the body of this guitar is made from?

Re: Tribute S-500 Tonewood
The Tribute models use basswood for the solid color finishes and Swamp Ash for all transparent finishes.Katalyzt13 wrote:Everything I can find about the S-500 Tribute Series says it is made of "swamp ash or basswood". The exception is the Tribute Jerry Cantrell Signature model which uses soft Maple for the body wood.
Also, the Tribute Comanche has a Flame Maple cap on Swamp Ash body.
Hope this helps.
