Quick update on my last much reports, I swapped in Jupiter 12LC speaker into my Carr Rambler and it is much better to my ears still not sure if I'll keep it but for now I am enjoying it. No progress on the Legacy project and I dropped off the SC-1 for a new nut and a setup today.
Today's G&L topic: I hear that bass a callin'
Last week I stopped in to my local Guitar Center on a whim, I was next door at Harbor Freight tools and well it's right there so why not.
Made my rounds on the used amps as that's been top of mind lately, they had some good stuff in stock. A Benson Vincent, Friedman Twin Sister, Dr. Z Remedy, BF Bandmaster, and a SF Pro Reverb are the ones that caught my eye. Anyway, while making my rounds out of the corner of my eye a guitar catches my attention, it's a brilliant shade of turquoise. Of course I gravity right over to it and lo and behold it's a bass and it's a G&L 3 bolt LB-100. I have wanted to buy a bass for years and years now but always seem to put it on the back burner and to be fair, I have never had a bass call out to me. Usually, I'll randomly pick one up thumb around for a few minutes and move on. But not this time, this time it just felt right immediately, it felt like I already owned it, I was done for.
I did make it out of the store that day, went home did some research and mulled it over. Dismissed it as crazy to spend that much on something that wasn't my main instrument. But I could not get it out of my head. Went back yesterday and played it again this time versus a slew of other options, almost bought it but lingered too long and ran out of time. Well, today was the day, NGD! and my first bass guitar

Have you ever had a guitar call out to you so strongly you just had to take it home?
How many of you also own a G&L bass? Which model?
I'll take any recommendations for strings, inexpensive combo/practice amps and online lessons (have a good friend that's an awesome bassist for local lessons) if you have any!
Hope you had a great lunch!
