Jerry Garcia and Jazzmaster

Post by sam »

Good ol' Jerry should have had a Doheny for this show!

First time I've seen Jerry with a Jazzmaster, but the licks are really good. Jerry and Sammy Hagar with solos at 2:35 and 5:34.

Thanks for posting this, Sam! I haven't seen it in a long while.
Back then, Jerry and Elvis Costello were hanging together. Elvis is seen at far right, on acoustic, at the start of the video. I always assumed the Jazzmaster was Elvis'.
Also: the legendary James Burton on a T-style with a big S-style headstock. (Not "Jeff Burton" as written in the description.) James and Mr. Costello also played together many times.

Ya know now I recall when Jerry and Elvis were hanging out, just never saw this session.

Sammy is always fun and tasty licks indeed.
