The pickup selector switch failed in this guitar. I was surprised until I opened the control cavity for the first time and saw the switch being one of the type sold for about $10 with the internals held in a little metal box. I installed a proper Switchcraft switch and all is fine now.
What first caught my attention on the wiring was that the .022 cap was soldered to the input and output lugs of the tone control pot. In my short 60 years of owning guitars, I have not seen a cap that wasn’t soldered to ground at this pot. Although, one of my Les Pauls has a 50s wiring config that has the caps soldered between volume and tone pots.
But, on this guitar this cap appears it is wired in parallel to the signal path? I wrote support to see if they have a wiring diagram for this axe and have not heard back. Does anyone here know the logic in this setup? The guitars plays and sounds fine!
I also found that the treble bleed is a 470pf cap with what appears to be a 220 kohm cap. From memory, my ASAT special had a 200pf cap on the volume pot.
Anyway, I see Craig has addressed a lot of detail on G&L guitars when I searched the posts. I cannot find anything on this?

Make sure you sent your request to the current email address, which is repairs@bbesound.com. If you sent it to some other address, then re-send it to repairs@bbesound.com.csm746 wrote:The pickup selector switch failed in this guitar. If you get a wiring diagram from Memo, please send a copy to me so I can add it to our current set of wiring diagrams located in the GbL Gallery.
I searched our site here and did not find anything related to the wiring of the ASAT Junior II models.
