JB-5 in action

Post by sam »

Hey guys,

As promised last week, here's an action shot of my son with his new JB-5. :alright: This is his guitar playing buddy in the first picture who shares the stage with him in jazz combos. My son plays an Ibanez 335 copy in that band, but here he is rocking a G&L JB-5 in the university basketball band! Some guys in this band told me the JB-5 makes it a whole new band. He also plays a L-2000 but needed a 5 string to cover more tonal ground. Difficulty posting videos, will work on it, pictures only for now.

Very cool. My nephew is ih the music program at Western Michigan. He is also a bass player and is mainly into jazz. Tough businaess to want to get into but it's nice that there are young people still aspiring to make music.

Following up on this post with latest edition and the JB-5 is still holding down the low end with Jacksonville State University "Hardcore" jazz band that plays with the basketball team. Today you will see my son's friend playing my ASAT Charlie Christian (he loves it BTW). He's on the bridge MFD with killer version of Let The Sunshine In and others. May have a new G&L convert! My son borrowed it for some jazz pieces in the traditional jazz band.
