Five-way switch that fits in an ASAT Special Tribute

Post by tprice504 »

I'm gathering parts for a planned mod to my ASAT Special Tribute. I want to replace the 3-way switch with a 5-way switch, and wire in a series option and an out of phase option.

Many people mention that the cavity for Telecasters (and ASATs) is tight, and I see that for myself.

Can anyone who's put a 5-way switch in an ASAT Tribute tell me what they've used?

You might try the 5-way switch which is used in the Tribute Legacy/S-500/Comanche models.
Here is the link to the one in the G&L OnLine Store: [opens in a new tab]

Hope this helps.

That's a good idea. It looks identical to the 3-way currently in the guitar.

Yes, I believe it is the same size. Let us know how it works out.
