Guitar strap storage

Post by sam »

How do you store your guitar straps when not playing?

Some may recall my cord storage method some time ago, well I have "re-purposed" it to be a strap holder. Gotta say this is cleaner to hold cords and makes strap choice a lot easier. There is one intruder in the picture, however. The skull strap is always on my Will Ray Asat signature but looked good in this highlight picture. 8-)

If you have a special storage method, show what ya got!

(4) of my MANY, MANY straps, mostly custom made. (I'm a total strap freak).
I either have them on/with my basses, or roll 'em up and store in a box.
Nothing exotic.

Have you ever seen Jeri Hart's work? I have one of her straps and she is excellent and easy to work with.

Thanks-

The "Hello Sailor" and "Feelin' It" strap were made by a leatherworker I saw on Etsy- Melco leather.
The Red strap w/ Chinese characters was also built by an Etsy listing, Erikson straps.
Some pretty cool strap makers on Etsy btw.

The Zebra strap was made by a Texas company called Double J Saddlery which carries & makes some very nice straps. Here's one they made for me:

I also have (among many others) 3 Jeri Hart straps, nice stuff.

After you purchase a Jeri Hart strap (or borrow one of Keith Richard's $3,000 straps which he no doubt might get for free! )
You get an invite to a Private sale 1 or 2X a year. Cool.

This guy (no affiliation, just awesome straps) is da bomb too:
