A Hardtail 'Super Sabre'

New to me F-100 Series II. Neck date 8/4/81, about the time I was heading off to college Leo, George and Dale were overseeing the creation of these first 'Super Sabres'
A bit of rust on the pole pieces and dust everywhere. Pups are lively and quite bright but I'll hold judgement until I've blown out the cobwebs and done some polishing.

Always wanted a 'first' G&L. Once I've cleaned her up, she should be much prettier and a nice addition to the stable.

I have an '81 series 1 (12 in radius), mahogany/ebony/hardtail which I really enjoy playing.
lots of tonal options there

So I put some flatwound 10s on it and WOW does that change things up.

Leo and his switches man...lol...so many options It's hard to keep track of but it'll do grunge to clean and chimey jazz thing with a couple of knob twiddles and a switch or two. Rolling off the tone really helps things. I guess that's been the secret to MFDs since '80.

Some scratchy feedback nastiness occasionally with various control combinations.
I'll sort that out later.
