Cor-Tek acquires DigiTech and DOD brands

Post by sam »

Saw this on GuitarWorld today, Cor-Tek acquired DigiTech and DOD pedal brands from Hartman/Samsung.

“Both brands – and everything associated with them – have been acquired by Cor-Tek, the maker of Cort guitars. In a statement accompanying news of the acquisition, Cor-Tek said that it's looking forward to "continuing the manufacturing and selling of [the brands'] iconic products as well.”

This could be good for pedal junkies like me. I had a DOD FXB Supra Distortion in late 80’s / early 90’s. Fuzzy little bugger and good for all intents and purposes at the time. Currently have a DOD FX model Phaser which peaks out of the pedal board every now and then, and wouldn’t mind getting a 250 preamp.

Don’t have any DigiTech pedals but have come very close to buying a Whammy or a Hardwire delay/looper. Anyone have either, and what do ya think?
