The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

Advice on Sperzel locking tuners for 1995 Legacy

Post by strat222 »

I just bought a very nice 1995 G & L Legacy that has Sperzel standard tuners. I would like to change them out to Sperzel locking tuners. Does anyone know if the current Sperzel locking tuner is a drop in or if mods have to be made?

Thanks, Tim

Yes. they drop right it. I was in the exact same situation as you two months. Acquired a 1995 (ballpark year per search on registry) and then bought a brand new set of the locking ones at my local shop. dropped right in.
