JB2 Tribute - Have you replaced pickups? Will 9v Battery Fit

Hi Folks,

I purchased a Tribute JB2 Jazz bass and have been researching the pickups. Would love to use EMG active, but it doesn't seem that the control cavity with fit a 9V.
Has anyone replaced your stock JB2 Tribute pickups and fit a 9v? I also read that both pickups are small neck size pickups, as opposed to one large and one small.
So it looks like I may need to buy two neck pickups.

Any help and/or advise is very much appreciated.
