I had a bit of bad luck with my first G&L, which had a warped neck, and ended up returning it. Then a few others I tried I just didn't gel with. A few weeks ago, I saw this one on the G&L instagram account, tracked down the dealer and ended up importing it into the UK. It is exceptionally good. I love the finish, which goes great with the binding, but the most special thing is probably the bridge pick up, which is one of the glorious jumbo MFDs but wound just a little hotter. Plays amazingly. It has a vibrato, too, which works well, but truth be told I'm not really a whammy bar guy, which is why I've actually managed to lose it somewhere in my flat already. What amazes me though, is this guitar comes with so many additional features I would consider upgrades (binding, vibrato system, custom pickup, deleted headstock logo) and yet it still cost less than a standard ASAT special in the UK! So not only did I get a dream guitar, but I got it cheap, which is definitely a victory.
