The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

G&L branded locking tuners - Are they Schallers?

Post by CalicoSkies »

In 2014, I bought a G&L USA Comanche with locking tuners. The tuners don't have a logo on them, and I'm pretty sure they're Shcaller locking tuners:

Since I bought mine, I've noticed G&L has been using tuners with the G&L logo on them. I thought of buying a set of these G&L-branded locking tuners:

I'm not sure why, but I like the idea of having the G&L logo on the tuners. But it looks like those are just Schaller tuners with the G&L logo on them - Is that correct?

Yes, those are Schaller Locking tuners. Only the non-locking Schaller tuners had the G&L logo on them. See: What tuners are used on G&L guitars (USA models)?. The current tuners with G&L logo are not Schaller tuners. See this post: Re: Tuning key changes or a mistake?.

Hope this helps.
