my G&L .. how to determine it's neck specs

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

my G&L .. how to determine it's neck specs

Post by bikegerm »

Hey there .... I currently own a ASAT Classic serial number #CLF13384. I'm considering ordering a custom build G&L and I'm going to want to have it configured with the same neck style and specs that my current ASAT has. Is there a way I can determine what neck is on my current model ?

Thanks .... Randy

Your guitar was likely built in 1999, so the neck options available were:

#1 (1 5/8 inch nut width, 2 1/4 inch width at body joint, 12-inch radius)
#1V - V-shaped rear (1 5/8 inch nut width, 2 1/4 inch width at body joint, 12-inch radius)
#2 (1 5/8 inch nut width, 2 1/4 inch width at body joint, 7.5-inch radius)
#3 (1 3/4 inch nut width, 2 1/4 inch width at body joint, 12-inch radius)
#4 (1 11/16 inch nut width, 2 1/4 inch width at body joint, 12-inch radius)

Reference post: What are the USA neck size options, past and present?

The #2 neck was the standard neck for the ASAT Classic model.

Hope this helps.
