Hey y'all,
I got back into playing guitar about two months ago and have been finding my own sound on an Epi Les Paul and a Fender Jimmie Vaughan strat.
The tribute semi hollow bluesboy has the paint I would die for (red burst), T-shape, and the chambered body as a bonus. Also love the sound of the bridge MFD. The neck pickup though does sound a bit darker than I would imagine wanting.
After doing some pecking around online, the Seymour Duncan HB shaped Phat Cat P-90 seems like it should work really well in this guitar.
Anybody have experience doing a swap like this? Open to other ideas.
Thanks!
Dan

I read the introduction section earlier and tried that. Thanks for putting that together!Craig wrote:Check the existing posts on this topic by using the Search feature.

I had used slightly different wording in my search. There are definitely some people that have swapped out humbucker for humbucker in the bluesboy, though info on P-90 types were less covered.
