Stumbled upon this Los Angeles Craigslist ad for a "1988 Z-3 Comanche Employee guitar." It has a longhorn body, black crinkle saddle-lock bridge and pickguard, and a sickle headstock. The Z-coil covers are white; I think the '80s Z-coils were only in black? So perhaps it was assembled in the late 90s? The model name on the headstock is "Z-3 Comanche", and "Comanche" looks a little broken or spliced.

Huh - looks like it’s right down the street from me. Tempting, however it came about.

That is so cool looking and I imagine it is fantastic in many ways. I CAN imagine how that came about and my hat is off to this guy. Come on, a saddle lock on that body with those pickups! He chose some sweet parts and created a very unique guitar.
An interesting story,

That’s a sweet looking guitar. Unlike Danley, it isn’t down the street or I would be checking it out today.
Hope someone here gets it.
