Replacing a fixed bridge on a Fallout

Post by jaikmiller139+ »

I want to replace the fixed bridge on my g&l fallout with a dual fulcrum bridge or some type of floating bridge. Is this possible or will it throw the whole guitar out of whack? And I don't mean a Floyd rose type of bridge. I'm not looking to cut into the body of the guitar at all if it can be helped. I'd appreciate any thoughts or advice on the subject because I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to bridges.

There really isn't an option that will allow you to not route/drill into the guitar. Even some of the no-route solutions for Telecaster/Bigsby or Gibson Tailpiece vibratos won't retrofit onto a Saddle Lock without even more mods to accommodate them. I'd budget for another trem guitar before I modified the Fallout.
