Headstocks on basses
I'm trying to find out what year the G&L basses switched to the "hook" headstock from the "Lawsuit" one, specifically on the L-1000 basses?

Re: Headstocks on basses
The story is a bit more complicated. All basses but the SB-series got the "hook" headstock in 1983. So if you are focussed on the L-1000, Craig has the answer for you. But be aware that until the end of 1991, any SB-1 and SB-2 model still kept the teat-less headstock (as did the SC-3 guitar). These models only got the modern headstock in the BBE-era (or were discontinued).Craig wrote:See this post: "Lawsuit" G&L Headstocks ? and See Greg Gagliano's webpage http://www.ggjaguar.com/l-1000b.htm.mabbatt wrote:I'm trying to find out what year the G&L basses switched to the "hook" headstock from the "Lawsuit" one, specifically on the L-1000 basses?
