Hello All.
My first post here...whoot whoot!
I inherited a guitar actually 2, the other is a 1993 legacy.
This one is an Asat with signature on the headstock. Serial number G026083
1989-1990
Cherryburst finish, rosewood fingerboard, wrinkle finish pickguard, sperzel locking tuners, vibrato tail piece.
Maple neck?? swamp ash body??
It has a seymour duncan in the center.
Which Asat model do i have exactly?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Others that know more than me will chime in but it looks like an ASAT ( later called an ASAT Special) with a factory vibrato, but The Duncan in the middle would have been aftermarket.

Let's start with getting your photos in plain view:hron61 wrote:Hello All.

Hard rock Maple neck with a Rosewood fretboard.
It does look like a Swamp Ash body with Cherryburst finish.
As mentioned before, the middle pickup is not stock, so a previous owner had it installed.
The Model name is "ASAT", see this post in our G&L Knowledgebase: List of Regular Production ASAT-style guitars (USA).
The Cherryburst finish was first offered in 1990. In our Gallery, see: Album: Suggested Retail Price List - July 1, 1990. Look at page 2 for the ASAT listing.
Hope this helps.
Please do post your Introduction post in the Introductions sub-forum and don't forget to add your G&L instruments to our G&L Registry.

ASAT models with the trem are fairly rare and sought after.
