Help verifying information on Tribute ASAT Classic

Post by JRambo423 »

I have a Tribute ASAT Classic and based on the serial number, 05028512, it was made in Korea in 2005. Can someone tell me the name of the color of my guitar is? Also, it has a maple neck with rosewood fret board. I cannot find any other ASAT Classics like this, they all seem to have maple fret boards. I can find Tribute semi-hallow, bluesboys, and other models with rosewood fret boards, but not any Tribute ASAT Classics.

According to this it would be basswood body, 3-Tone Sunburst, Tortoise Shell pickguard. They were available with either maple or rosewood fingerboard.

It looks like Tobacco Sunburst on either Swamp Ash or Mahogany. Would like to see a front photo in natural light to determine which wood it is.

We have several Tribute ASAT Classics with Tobacco Sunburst on Swamp Ash in our G&L Registry.
Here's a link of my search: http://www.guitarsbyleo.com/AUTOREG/int ... nter_fmt=1

in 2005 the Tribute Series made in Korea had Standard and Premium finishes.
Here's a link the Internet Archive of the 12/2005 G&L website Tribute Series page:http://web.archive.org/web/200512111410 ... /index.asp

Hope this helps.
