Tribute ASAT BluesBoy Semi-Hollow neck

Post by MikeShock »

I Just got my first G&L yesterday but I'm not sure if the Cherry fingerboard is unfinished. I don't want to oil the fretboard and the regret it.

Thank you.

I believe the Brazilian Cherry fingerboard is unfinished just like Rosewood, Ebony and other dark hardwoods used for fingerboards.
It is likely you can use the same conditioners you would use for Rosewood, Ebony, etc. fingerboards.
You might want to contact G&L Support and ask them what they recommend to use.
Look for the REPAIRS/TECH SUPPORT tab on the Support page for the contact phone number and email address.

Hope this helps.

If you do contact G&L Support about this, please post what they suggest using, to condition these Tribute Brazilian Cherry fingerboards.
