Tone Comparison SB-1 VS LB-100

Have you ever wondered what the tonal difference is between an SB-1 and an LB-100? Well here is Steve Araujo demonstrating that.
The basses were recorded direct out of the BBE B-MAX preamp.
Both basses were also recorded with their volume and tone knob turned up all of the way.

Overall I prefer the "stickier" and more harmonic sound of the LB-100 , but I can also tell it would be less forgiving to play certain styles; I noticed the notes can seem to sometimes get buried behind the attack. The SB-1 seems to be "easier" but not as much character. Still, they both sound great.
