Specs of this 1996 G&L ASAT

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

Specs of this 1996 G&L ASAT

Post by eheiser »

Hi all, was wondering if anyone here could help me find the specs of a 1996 G&L ASAT that's for sale near me. Seller has no idea.
Some pics I got sent:

More specifically, I'm trying to find the neck shape and radius, and the size of the frets. Any help, I'd appreciate it!

The model name is the ASAT Special, the body finish is Blue Swirl, body wood is likely Alder.
Here are the neck options for 1996-97; the #2 neck would have been the standard neck.
#1 (1 5/8 inch nut width, 2 13/64 inch butt width, 12-inch radius)
#2 (1 5/8 inch nut width, 2 13/64 inch butt width, 7.5-inch radius)
#3 (1 3/4 inch nut width, 2 13/64 inch butt width, 12-inch radius)
#4 (1 11/16 inch nut width, 2 13/64 inch butt width, 12-inch radius)
The frets would be Medium Jumbo (Dunlop 6100) frets which were standard on all G&L guitar models in 1996-97.

Hope this helps.

Wow, Craig awesome thanks :happy0065:
Judging from photo 2 would you say this is a 7.25" or a 12" radius? (I prefer the latter)

It looks like a 7.5" radius (#2 neck):
