This broken and neglected 1990 SC-3 has been hidden away in one of our dusty lofts for many years. It's about to get repaired and join our vintage G&L collection.
PS I found that this guitar was already registered in the G&L Registry without an owner, so I added additional notes about this find]

cool - it'll be interesting to see what they do with the headstock.
they showed me that one when i had my impromptu tour of the factory last spring.
same knobs as the old F-100's!

Craig,
I bet many of us would like to see you follow that guitar through the repair process. Please ask the guys to take some pictures while fixing.
Thanks Craig,

I wasn't expecting the split headstock, given it is not really noticeable in the lead photo. So when I scrolled down, it was as if this split headstock jumped out of the screen at me such that I reflexively flinched with a start when I saw it. I had to chuckle at myself.

It's interesting to me because that should be a bi-cut neck right? It appears to have split across the bi-cut glue joint.

Ditto on Casey's request. This would be fun to watch throughout.

Here's a progress report posted on G&L's Facebook page ...
We just glued up the crack on our 1990 SC-3. A little more clean-up then we'll leave it over the weekend.

The reflection of the fluorescent lights at first looked like a swatch of sawdust or glue. I spent at least five or six seconds trying to figure out what that could be!

This is the same vintage and color as my SC-3. The neck date on mine is Feb 14 1990.
