Return of the Z Bucker? A perfect pup option for Doheny...

Post by JagInTheBag »

Wouldn't a Z coil pup with a Jazz sized cover be the perfect pickup option for the new Doheny? It would create a drop-in replacement for those who already play a JM bobbin sized guitar. It also looks similar to the Fender Wide Range JM style pup that current offset players appreciate. And it doesn't require tooling an entirely new pickup set, just a cover.

What do you think?

I recently suggested to G&L to revisit the HG-2R (Angled Offset Interecptor/Cavalier) pickups. They wouldn't necessarily have to retool the Cavalier body. Just drop them into a Fallout and rework the pickguard.

I've wanted a reissue of the angled offset humbucker FOREVER. I have an original cavalier bridge pickup actually. pm me if you're interested. I replaced it with a rio grande humbucker recently
