Received this beauty this past week and I was hoping to get a few answers from the experts. It plays effortlessly and sounds like I wish my Strat sounded like!
It's a USA G&L Legacy HB, with a few customized mods that appear to have come from the factory.
Can anyone decipher some of the codes that were written on the body? I assume "EB" stands for ebony?
What type of singles came with the Legacy in this time period?
How do I date this guitar?
Thanks for your help!!! A few pics.....

BEL = Belair Green finish
EB = Ebony Board
Leg = Legacy model
BE = Birdseye Maple neck
PH = Painted Headstock
G NUT = Graph-Tech Graphite Nut
W/B/W = 3-ply White pickguard however, the pickguard currently on it is a 3-ply Pearloid pickguard
DUNCAN = Seymour Duncan bridge humbucker (TB4); this was a standard option
Black PU's = Black Pickup covers
Chrome Knobs = Chrome volume and tone knobs
19014= Sales order number
For dating the guitar see this post: Serial number significance.
Because your serial number begins with "CL" the build year will be either 1997 or 1998. Given the appointments, I would say the build year is 1998. See: February 1, 1998 Dealer Price List and Album: 1998 G&L Catalog.
The single coil pickups are G&L Vintage Style Alnico V pickups built at the factory in Fullerton, CA., See: List of pickups used in G&L guitars.
The mini-toggle switch is a coil splitter for the humbucker.
The tuners are Schaller tuners which were stock tuners at that time.
It looks like it has been well maintained.
Hope this helps.
