There's a sale at musiciansfriend/guitar center for a tribute ASAT Classic.

It says that the pickups are G&L designed alnico, but the tribute section on the G&L site says they're suppose to be MFDs.
I haven't heard either types of pickups. Are the alnicos better sounding than the MFDs?
I'm guessing they would have more a of a tele sound.

MF/GC's G&L Tribute Limited Editions descriptions tend to be somewhat inaccurate, so I have put together this post in our G&L Knowledgebase, which has the actual descriptions:astro-man wrote:There's a sale at musiciansfriend/guitar center for a tribute ASAT Classic.

2015-present MF/GC Exclusive Tribute Models
G&L's main website does not list the exclusive MF/GC Tribute models.
The model name for the guitar you are interested in should be listed as the "G&L Limited Edition Tribute ASAT Classic Alnico" and the pickups are G&L designed Alnico V single-coils.
They are modeled after the Tele's of the late 50s/early 60s.
Hope this helps.
