Toggle switch on Comanche

Post by dhgleaves »

Are the toggle switches on some Comanches wired the opposite way? Every time I haven't played mine in a while, I have to remind myself of which position is which, but I swear that when I got my new one and sold my old one that they were reverse. Perhaps one of them just got rotated a bit, but I'm just curious to know if it's always supposed to be the same. Thanks.

AFAIK, the mini-toggle switch for the pickup expander function on the Comanche and S-500 models is set by the factory and the toggle should be toward the bridge for the Normal setting
and the toggle should be toward the neck for the Expanded setting.

See this Control Diagram:

If you have one(s) which are not positioned as above, the switch should be easy to re-position on the pickguard.

Hope this helps.

This is a great diagram. Are there such diagrams for F-100 E and G-200 switch functions?

Sorry no Control Diagrams for the F-100E or G-200. The only ones we have are in the Gallery -> Album: Instrument Manuals and Wiring Schematics.
We do have the F-100 and F-100E Instruction sheets there, though.

Yes, this helps, and it's consistent with my current Comanche. I still could have sworn that my previous one was reversed regarding which position was normal and which was expanded, but I assume that it just might have been rotated over time. David
