L-5000 Batteries

Post by Thumbs »

My son has an L-5000. There are 2 flat batteries in the control circuit; how do you replace them? Thanks in advance for any help from anyone.

That's a fine question. One of those, "I admire the problem but don't have a solution." kinda things.

The L5000 is, in standard form, a passive instrument. There probably isn't even enough room in a stock L5000 cavity for a preamp and one 9v battery, let alone a preamp and two 9v batteries. You said there are "2 flat batteries". Are you sure they're batteries and not something else, like big ol' disc capacitors that someone swapped in? What color are they; kind of beige?

So, um... pictures of what he's got, pickguard lifted, would be helpful. Close and in focus is even better.
