Asat specials

What are people's thoughts on the tonal differences between an asat special and a semi hollow asat special? Thanks very much.

The semi-hollow one has a sort of hollow sound :) . Sorry for the useless comment, but I couldn't help myself. I have not played a semi-hollow one, but I have an ASAT Special and SC-2, and I find them to have a very complex tone. Very versatile.

There's basically no difference. It's not worth paying for IMO, plus they're more fragile - my semi Bluesboy got a knock on the front and split a little. No such problem on a solid body

But to me the fact that the semi-hollow body is significantly lighter is a big plus. I played one last week, and I'll be buying it as soon as I get the funds. At least while I was playing it, it was my new favourite guitar, and I was also trying a solid-body at the time.
