Kinda going for a Ritchie Blackmore vibe. I know it may seem like blasphemy to some, but I don't really care for middle pickups... they get in the way of my picking, and I've never really been a fan of the sound.
Anyway, I've got a 2014 Legacy in which I've lowered the middle pup all the way, but I would really like to get rid of it and just use a three-way switch. I'll also probably replace the bridge pup with a Duncan Lil' Screamin' Demon as I prefer humbucker tones.
Is there some kind of a dummy pickup cover I could just screw in place after removal, or maybe glue or screw in some extra pickguard material or anything instead of just having a gaping hole? Thanks.

Why don't you get another pickguard made by Chandler without the middle pickup holes?

How about a sticker ?
Or maybe an EMG single coil size cover, they are just matte black.

How about lowering the middle pickup, flush with the pick guard? I don't know if the Legacy has RWRP/HB abilities, but if so... You won't lose that ability.
Also, it's an easy way to lower the volume with out changing the way you play. Learned that from Will Ray.

I've got it flush with the pickguard now so it no longer gets in the way. It does have the RW/RP which is pretty neat, but I really don't use the 2 and 4 positions.
I guess the new pickguard option could work. I might have to look into an EMG-type cover.
Thanks for the replies.

Some LED stuff would be pretty neat, and definitely different.
