Will a Korean ASAT Tribute neck

Post by Jopapa »

fit a replacement tele body? I have a used Tribute that only cost me $200. Love it. Love the neck. Love the pickups. Just don't like the sunburst. Would like to go vintage white with mint pickguard. Can I get a tele body from Warmouth/MJT/GuitarMill etc., or will it not line up? Thanks.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe there's a replacement body for your neck other than another G&L Tribute body. This is due to the fact that G&Ls in general use a standard 22-fret neck (no overhang like Fenders) that results in having a neck pocket that's routed deeper into the body. Even the USA G&Ls have a slightly different sized neck pocket, so that won't work very well, either. If you're adament about losing the sunburst color, you might be best off by refinishing your guitar to the color you prefer.
