Wiring for Legacy vs. Legacy Special

Post by skern »

Hello there. I've been looking at the diagrams for these two guitars, and noticed their slightly different

Legacy: http://www.glguitars.com/schematics/Leg ... rawing.pdf
Special: http://www.glguitars.com/schematics/Leg ... rawing.pdf

But, their schematics are exactly the same...

Legacy: http://www.glguitars.com/schematics/Leg ... iagram.pdf
Special: http://www.glguitars.com/schematics/Leg ... iagram.pdf

I don't get it! The most notable difference from the diagrams is that the Legacy pickup selector goes straight to the tone knobs and then the volume before hitting the jack, wheres the Special's pickup selector goes straight to the volume, along with the treble knob, and then the volume goes to the bass knob before hitting the jack.

Thanks for your reply. The diagrams in both pictures you provided have the same wiring, and it is different from the two I provided, though more similar to that of the Legacy. Now I'm even more confused :(

The photo diagrams came from the G&L factory and I suggest using them for examples of the current wiring.
