3 bolt Asat III question

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

Can i ask please if the extra switch on the 3 bolt ASAT III in this video is in fact a factory fitted item or is it a post factory mod.

I'd say a mod. It's definitely not standard for an ASAT III.

Geoff

There is something wrong with his description of the two guitar. He said that they were made the same year. I suspect the black guitar is modded asat III while the second guitar is a newer asat with a new pick guard and pickup assembly. I do not believe G&L has ever produced an asat III with a 4 bolt neck.

Hey I could be wrong,

Yes, G&L did some 4-bolt ASAT III which have CL0nnnn serial numbers, see: List of Regular Production ASAT-style guitars (USA).

Here are the one's that have been registered in our G&L Registry:
G&L Registry listing of 4-bolt ASAT III

Hope this helps.
