Hi all, I'm new here and to G&L, but not to guitars. I've been playing for 46 years... yet most 12 year old shredders out class me. I know of G&L's quality guitars and some of G&L history.
I'm currently looking at trading a 2004 MiM Tele with 10W amp for an Ascari HB3 trans-black. Both are in immaculate condition. I'm just looking for some info on the Ascari HB3. The other guy is thinking about it at the moment.
What years were they made?
Any Issues I should know about?
Is my trade foolish?
My signature will give you some idea of the guitars I play. My style is mostly 70s classic rock.
Thanks in advance.

The Tribute ASCARI GTS HB3 is an exclusive guitar for Musician's Friend and Guitar Center.
For specifications, see this post: 2015-present MF/GC Exclusive Tribute Models.
For pickup information see: List of pickups used in G&L guitars and Decoding the various G&L pickup part numbers.
Hope this helps.

Re: New here... and new to G&L
Thanks Craig... the links are appreciated.
Ok... so they were made in 2015 only for GC/MF. Good to know.
"Pickup selector positions 1 and 5 will give you the Neck and Bridge pickups while pickup selector positions 2 and 4 will give you all 3 humbucking pickups."
Is there a tonal difference between switch positions 2 and 4?
If not, why not give neck-mid, and mid-bridge combinations?
Or am I missing something?
Also, still looking for advice on the trade (see original post).
Thanks

This exclusive model was requested with those specific features and pickups by MF/GC.
We do have a schematic drawing for this model in our Gallery, see: Album: Tribute Ascari GTS HB3 Wiring Diagram.
I will let others comment on whether or not the trade is a good one. You might check the MF and GC websites to see what price they are selling the HB3 for and also check out the reviews.

Thanks for the info.
I decided to pass. I would have been over paying.
I'll keep looking.
