No numbers are made available to us. These were offered as a special deal for dealers for a short period of time and dealers could order as many as they wanted during that time period.

I have heard that there is (or will be) a similar deal on some specific spec'd ASAT Classics in a few colors.
You might check with your G&L dealer(s) for details, if you are considering an ASAT Classic.

I can't believe none of those ruby red metallic Specials left the factory with black pick guards and pickup covers.

Ruby red + black guards + black pup covers = drool!

It appears to be a set-spec - or at least no options/standard specs only - ASAT Classic with a gig bag instead of a case (posting the link - if that's not allowed please delete it) for that same price that the special run of ASAT Specials went for last fall:

The Legacy Standard and Invader XL Standard are listed in the Production List of G&L Instruments (USA) as part of the Fullerton Standard Series available between 2006 and 2008. There is no such mention of an ASAT Classic but that could easily be an omission.

Yes, I remember the previous run of Standards; this is a new one with a 2/14/2017 date on the Spec Sheet (as they are now called).

I totally missed that when I looked at the spec sheet photo. It could be a change that Up Front made, or G&L changed their minds about the case and didn't update the spec sheet to say "gig bag" before they shipped it.

Of course it is the same MAP as a Fender American Special, which also comes with a gig bag.

I asked Dave about the spec sheet indicating a Deluxe Tolex case. He said it was a mistake and that they will get that fixed. It should have been listed as a G&L gig bag.
