An entire album of G&L

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

An entire album of G&L

Post by blargfromouterspace »

Shameless plug, but what you gonna do?

My band released our first album this week, all electric guitars except the baritone are G&Ls - my 93 Classic and Korina Jr.

Here's a LINK. You can listen without purchasing it :D

'Special ears award' to anyone who can pick the two other BBE products used

Jamie,

This is a great recording. Now the wait begins for my copy to arrive.

I can't pick the BBE products out be ear, but I'll guess a Sonic Maximizer and a Bench Press?

Well, I bought " Old Letter ". You really nailed the guitar tone. That is the Twang indeed, not to mention the great playing. Wow, I had no idea we had some professional musicians lurking about. I would not call myself a " Country " fan . I am ignorant of the genre . The stuff I do know would be more old school. I am a fan of good musicianship however and you seem to have it. Good recording too. It sounded great on my headphones.

Hi Jamie.

That's beautiful playing, writing and recording, and I'm not even much of a country guy. It's nice to hear your '93 ASAT immortalized in a recording after being reunited. She always was a special kinda gal!

I hope the album leads to bigger and better things like a G&L endorsement

Hey Jamie,

I love it! Being a fan of alt country, country and the Dead, I hear a little of it all. Just a quick listen tonight but buying soon for sure

Will listen tomorrow and identify (or attempt) each G&L played.

Again, cheers to you and your band. :alright:

Thanks all, glad you like it.

Ken - thanks for the purchase. We worked pretty hard on this- recording began just after I bought the SC2 from you, and then there was a break of an entire year, so a couple of cuts are older, and I think very noticeable. Our sound matured over that year. Wrong on the BBE products! Hint - you can't hear one of them.

Paul - turn amp up is the secret for that sound. And a tiny bit of slapback. I'm definitely not a professional however!

Phil - I'd accept an endorsement without RED ASAT CLASSIC ALNICO hesitation. :D

Sam - we like those too, glad the influence is there to hear. There's only one track where I used the Jr, it sticks out.

Dan, Fumble, thanks for the kind words.

Not really my cup of tea but it sounds pretty cool and the songs are good !... :happy0065:

We'll release a full G&L album as well, except the bass... fallout trib', an asat and an asat classic... not the same kind of music and a lot more of electric guitar !

Well Jamie,

I'm 1 week into this and it has MANY plays! :alright: Gotta say the lyrics are fabulous, the fact you guys (and girl) hit a lot of styles goes a long way, and the guitar player shines.

Downloaded on iTunes last Monday before a long flight and have spent a lot of time listening to this on a few flights over the past week, as well as playing while I work, like right now. Do I hear the Jr on New Things, and a Sonic Stomp and Bench Press in there?

Not sure I have a favorite song, but best line is from Done in by the Pace of It All "taking a break from a nine year bender, sounded like a hell of time"

PM will be sent and looking forward to more songs.....

Thanks Sam! So glad you like it!

The BBE products are a Mind Bender and a SupaCharger.

The special was used on 'Done In...',

I've been trying to reply to your PM, but am getting an error. I'll try again tomorrow.
