Far out Full Moon Friday Fest.. report
Lunch was just bread and Amy's soup...it's become routine...but it works
...oh yeah, and a banana .
Full moon tonight!
It'll be a good night for mousin' ...if your a cat or an owl .
Here's a cool shot of the "Dark Side":
I've been finding myself looking back through time for things that sparked joy, I guess I should get out more to see some new art and music. Until then I'll indulge myself in playing some scratchy records and looking at
large album art. Kids these days are missin' out on that.
At least they still have the original moon to wonder at when the skies are clear. Let's hope that doesn't change for a long time.
This is from one of the first LP's I bought, soley because of the cover art. Never heard of King Crimson before then, thumbs up for cover art.

So I needed inspiration for a buddies cheap strat I volunteered to "improve" .
I decided to use the inner cover guy, I figure as the guitar hangs on the wall , it'll be quietly asking you to come closer, and maybe just play a while...
This is just with the main colors blocked in with the airbrush:
Do you have any epic album art that you love?
I still have two invaders that are stripped and I like the LP album art theme,
I'm thinking about "The Wall" ...but it could any fun retro image that makes folks smile.
A Space Invader themed Invader is another that I like.
...or I could make things easier and go for this one (see what I did with the moon theme?)
Any other whacky things from the past that you'd like to see on a guitar?
(favorite cereal as a kid,tv, movies,etc.)
Have a good weekend fellow enthusiasts,
...and if your a mouse, be careful out there

Nice...Cap'n Crunch would be grrrrrrrreat on an Invader (or les paul)
Man that Asia art is tantalizing.
It reminds me of dutch water marbling, same process as swirl designs on Jems,
only in a flatter tank with rakes to to pull the colors. I think I could get this on a guitar:
I wonder if Herb would be open to a Rampage Whipped Dress tribute model
....available in any color...as long as it's Cream
cheers

I remember the HA girl from my youth. I thought she was the best. Best what I don't know, but the best. Now I know. The foolishness of youth.

Lunch today was bowl of leftover chili and an apple. The chili was quite yummy!
I really love this paint job... if I could I would order on just like it today!
Totally reminds me of Public Image Limited's Generic Album. The CD was labeled "Compact Disc", vinyl was labeled "Album", and tape was labeled "Cassette". Completely enjoyed listening to this on my drive home from work Thursday.
I've kind of always enjoyed Robyn Hitchcock's art work. I have this version of album cover.
Perhaps Love and Rockets Express
BTW, nice painting there Elwood!
Cheers, Dan

Great suggestions Dan,
I did drink alot of beer beer before I knew better.
I've recently thought about painting a guitar with nice images of basses .
Thanks for the good words on the schizoid strat, it's turning out better than I thought it would.
I'll post progress pics as it get's finished.

Thanks, I'm stoked to paint a G&L.
It was the late 80's when I started playing Steely Dan non-stop,
then maybe a little weather report to break things up.
That's a great cover !

Well, Not all kids... Vinyl make a real come back since a couple of years... We released our last album only on vinyl and it sells just the same as if it were on cd...Kids these days are missin' out on that.
I really like this cover... (Image is too big and find another great one, so... Sorry for the link...)

This is from a French band named velooo... The album name is "même pas mal"... Google is your friend...
But I don't want to see it on a guitar, I only like plain finishes... Eventually a sunburst on an sc2...

There's a G&L in both... My classic mainly and a bit of asat ... But our next one will be full of G&L... A fallout and my asat's... ^^

That's cool the record label helps to pair bands for releases.
I'm hearing all sorts of styles I like in Ante Lapidem (king crimson, afghan whigs,tool...)
..nice job!
I'm listening to others now, (I'll pay when I get a better job )
thanks

Hey thanx ! That's pretty kind ! King Crimson, wow, that's the first time I hear that... Maybe there's a kind of unconscious influence... I really like King Crimson but never thought about them as an influence !
Anyway... Don't have to pay, it's there to be listen to...

Dunno where this is...I'd live there -
My tube amp tech guru guy needs a shop guitar to test amps, I'm thinking one of the invaders should be there
at his shop with a nice logo. His customers will get a chance to play an old G&L too...that can't be bad.
regards
