Tribute L2500 battery cover

Does anyone know if there is a mod available for the battery cover on a Tribute L2500 bass. It is a real pain having to undo lots of screws in order to change the battery, eventually the screwholes will become useless. My Yamaha TRB has a flip open battery compartment which takes seconds to do a battery change whilst out gigging.
