The neck plates were intended for John Jorgenson's Signature model:

A number of years ago, Dean and I were at the factory with Dave, looking through some old drawers and came across
some of these neck plates. Dave let each of us have one. After I did a guitar swap with John a couple of years later, I put the neck plate on mine.
