Merle Haggard RIP

Post by sam »

Sad news for music fans today, not just country and western, but guitar players in general. I have been a Merle fan for a LONG time and although he has been in bad health lately, it is sad to hear. Died on what would have been his 79th birthday. 1937 - 2016

Play a few Merle songs in memory, any of these will do
Okie from Muskogee, Mama Tried, The bottle let me down, Big City, Are the good times really over, I think I'll just stay here and drink... and many more.

The man had a bunch of great songs, wish I had seen him live.

Working man blues is a killer and he will be missed in deed. One of the greatest.
