I spotted a thread here that described the differences in the DF vs DFS as the DFS has the 'flat finish' saddles while the DF had shiny chrome ones.... Is this correct?
IF it is, then I have this question:
Why would a 1992 all original Legacy have the flat finish saddles instead of the chrome ones??

The DFV saddles were die cast zinc alloy (unfinished) until 2001. In 2001, they were changed to chrome plated billet brass machined saddles.Weatherby wrote:I spotted a thread here that described the differences in the DF vs DFS as the DFS has the 'flat finish' saddles while the DF had shiny chrome ones.... The DFS bridge first came out in 2010 on the 30th Anniversary Legacy and F-100 models. The saddles are machined stainless steel and look different from the original zinc die-cast ones.
Here is what the DFS saddles look like:
Your Legacy has the zinc die-cast saddles.
Hope this helps.
