I'm currently out of town but will be back later this evening. I have a 1982 S-500 which I will use to post the measurement.
Hopefully, another member will see your post and provide the measurement, too.

I used a micrometer and measured from the edge of the saddle inside hole to the inside of the pole piece hole on my USA S-500 with 4-bolt neck. I got 47.72 mm on the low E string and 36.48 mm on the high E string. Good luck.
