NGD - G&L 25th Anniversary

Post by sam »

Howdy campers,

I guess Santa thought I was good this year, look what joined the ASAT party! :D

Found this 25th Anniversary with all goodies and can't wait to hear these F-100 pickups. Have had ZERO time to play, so a tone report will be later on.

Any other 25th Anniversary owners, let me know what to look for and tip on rolling off tone or volume knobs.

A Happy Holidays to all!

Nice score Sam! I saw one of these two years ago that had never been sold. I looked at it and was tempted but it was the heaviest G&L I had held. They sure look nice. -- Darwin

Thank you to all,

yz250f49 - yes, it came up and I could not let it pass.
fianoman - I always worried these would come off a bit dull looking but this this thing shines.
Darwin - you would have grabbed this one, it is not heavy at all. But then again, I have a Will Ray solid body slung over my shoulder a lot! ;)
Dr - these pups were another draw for me as well
Jos - thanks for the warning, but then again, after all these years between loud guitars and loud music LOUD is necessary to hear it!
Xochitl - Yep, I got the mojo feeling with this as well with the old pups they brought back for this model

Very nice looking guitar. I'm stumped as to why those were such poor sellers. The pick ups would be a huge draw for me.

Sam, you must have been very good indeed! Those 25th Anniversary models look killer! :BangBang:

I've been tempted more than once by these 25th Anniversary models. I wish they would offer or do more guitars with these pups. The only guitar I have with this pickup is my LE-2. Definitely think these pups are cool. How does the neck position sound?

Sweet acquisition and congratulations!
