That seems more reasonable than the ASAT. Cost in the US would probably be around $650, based on the ones I've seen for sale.

Climax's don't seem to get the respect of other G&L's money wise , great guitar and I would like to have one just not high on the priority list , I like the back cut-away at the neck that is exclusive to this model , Jeff Marshal has a few of them from here ...... super clean 800.00 ish or less , well played 500.00 to 650.00 range from what I see

Hey Geoff
Last time I saw that one was in 2009 when the seller was asking $1,200 for it and wouldn't move on the price - because his tech had told him it was a $4,000 guitar - even though at the time I could have bought and shipped an equivalent from the USA for around $700 (at a time when the Aussie dollar was stronger) . Two years before that he was asking $2,500. It's now a couple of suburbs South of where it was then so not sure if its the same seller. Back then the guitar was in good shape (but that was 6 years ago and maybe a change of owner since) but suffered the problem of a good few of the climax models - a little weak, lacked the oomph you expect from a super strat. That's fixable with some simple changes to caps and such so shouldn't be a deal breaker if you are interested. Gabe provided a really good assessment of the Climax model on the old board including recommended mods which I wish I'd kept.
