I own a figured maple top Comanche that I've had for sometime. I bought it used so I don't know when it was made. The back is painted black so I also don't know if the back is alder or ash. It is a great playing and sounding guitar. This is the second G&L I have owned. Many years ago I had an S-500. I would like
to replace that one and get a Legacy as well.

Curious question: I have an s-500 too, commemorative from the early nieneties, and i believe this axe beats just about any strat type guitar ever. so why do you want to change it for a legacy?

What I meant was that I want both an S-500 and a Legacy to go with the Comanche I presently own. My old S-500 I had to part with to take care of some financial responsibilities. Believe me I hated to sell it but I had no choice. I would love to have several G&L's. Not just the "strat" types, the ASAT's as well.

I don't blame you for wanting them all ...... they all do they're own thing great , I have all three myself but I did have a Will Ray Z-Coil bridge pick up installed in place of the stock one on my Comanche , Will's has 1500 more windings over the stock z coil and it sounds beautiful , it made the bridge pick up useable by itself , definetly a sweet mod
