New to the Forum

Hello all. I'm new here to this forum and to G&L guitars.
First of, I an see why these guitars are so difficult to find and don't last very long in the guitar shops here in Chicago. My Tribute s 500 is a killer machine.
Really well made and tones to boot.
I have had trouble locating the date of mnfr. some have said the last 4 numbers indiacte the date of mfr and some the first which seems to make more sense.
The number is 070434981
Any ideas?

The format is YYMMXXXXX. So your S-500 was built in April 2007. Happy Birthday to your guitar! Please post some birthday pics.

I just purchased a used G&L S-500 Tribute off Chicago Craigslist.
I entered the serial number and was taken to this page!
