Bluesboy not staying in tune

Post by WOngio123 »

I have a tribute bluesboy and the low e string always seems to get flat after about 15 minutes of playing. I changed the string but its still happening. Could it possibly be faulty tuners.

it's more likely to be a nut problem

Could very well be as Fumble suggested, however you would be surprised how many of the tuner hex nuts become loose due to low humidity in the winter. The headstock shrinks and the tuner becomes loose. I am not talking about the screw on the button but the usually 10 or 11 mm nut on the tuner shaft itself. I have tightened many when changing strings. It does make a difference. -- Darwin

Does that Tribute have the weird locking tuners that look just like regular tuners? If so, maybe the low E isn't being locked correctly.
