Has anyone ever played and/or owned one of these? I'm intrigued

I love the look of these and was excited when I saw they were reissuing them, but at around $800 they are a bit on the pricey side - I'm pretty sure they're made in China. For that sort of money I'd be getting a used Gibson SG or a Tokai. YMMV.
