So after many years of playing an Ibanez RG I knew it was time to change it up. My style and influences had changed a lot from when I was younger, and I knew I wanted a Tele after becoming fascinated with guys like John Frusciante and Andy Summers. The search was on!
I played over a dozen American and Mexican Telecasters. Even a few vintage ones at Chicago Music Exchange downtown but none of them really felt right. I was kind bummed for a while and didn't really know where to look next.
Then a few months back a couple of local musicians I know told me G&L was way ahead of the game as far as Tele type guitars go. I remembered that the shop near my house sold them so I decided to go in the next day and check it out.
The only one they had left was a beautiful Semi-Hollow ASAT Classic Tribute. I plugged it in and after a few minutes I knew that this was IT! The neck was absolutely perfect. The range of tones I was able to get out of it particularly blew me away. Definitely one of the most versatile guitars I've ever played.

I haven't touched any of my other electrics since. I'm actually looking for an acoustic at the moment but saw a demo for a G&L Fallout the other day and am seriously reconsidering now Lol. G&L guitars are slowly becoming an obsession, and after browsing the forum I certainly see I'm not the only one
